This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes prohibited uses of Fairseq's products and services ("Services"). This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service.

- Facilitating money laundering, terrorist financing, or sanctions evasion
- Engaging in fraud, deception, or misrepresentation
- Distributing illegal content or materials
1.2 Harmful Activities
- Distributing malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks
- Conducting attacks that disrupt services (DDoS, DoS, etc.)
- Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code
- Circumventing security measures or access controls
1.3 Abusive Behavior
- Harassing, threatening, or intimidating others
- Impersonating any person or entity
- Collecting personal information without consent
- Sending unsolicited communications (spam)
1.4 Service Abuse
- Exceeding rate limits or usage quotas through circumvention
- Creating multiple accounts to evade restrictions
- Reselling or sublicensing access without authorization
- Using the Services in a way that degrades performance for others
- Automating access in ways that violate our Terms
2. API-Specific Rules
When using our API, you must:
- Respect rate limits and implement proper backoff strategies
- Secure your API keys and never share them publicly
- Identify your application using proper User-Agent headers
- Handle errors gracefully without excessive retries
- Cache responses where appropriate to reduce unnecessary calls
3. Compliance Requirements
You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Services complies with:
- All applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction
- Any industry-specific compliance requirements (e.g., financial regulations)
- Data protection and privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
- Export control laws and trade sanctions
4. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to us immediately at abuse@fairseq.io. Include as much detail as possible, including evidence of the violation.
5. Enforcement
We may take any action we deem appropriate in response to violations of this AUP, including:
- Warning you about the violation
- Temporarily suspending your access to the Services
- Permanently terminating your account
- Removing or disabling access to content that violates this AUP
- Reporting the violation to law enforcement authorities
- Pursuing legal remedies
We reserve the right to investigate potential violations and cooperate with law enforcement when we believe doing so is required or appropriate.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on our website. Your continued use of the Services after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
